Idioma Education & Consulting Conference Travel Grant
Idioma Education & Consulting will sponsor one $500 Conference Travel Grant for an attendee of the Central States Conference who demonstrates a strong commitment to world language education and professional growth. The grant is intended to help offset the cost of attending the conference and provide financial support for a dedicated world language educator seeking to expand their professional knowledge, strengthen their teaching practice, and engage with colleagues from across the field.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be a registered attendee of the current Central States Conference.
Be a current or prospective world language educator or language education professional.
Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.
Demonstrate how attending the conference will support their professional development and enhance their work in world language education.
Commit to submitting a reflection to share what they learned at the conference and how they applied new ideas, strategies, or resources to their classroom teaching or professional practice.
The $500 grant will be provided as a reimbursement of eligible travel expenses after the conclusion of the conference. Grant recipients must submit documented receipts for eligible expenses and a written reflection. Reimbursement will be issued upon receipt and review of the required documentation.

Submit a current resume or curriculum vitae highlighting your education, professional experience, and professional development.
Explain your need for and reasons for applying for the grant. In your statement, address:
How would the $500 grant facilitate your attendance at the Central States Conference?
What do you hope to learn, gain, or accomplish by attending the conference?
How do you plan to apply what you learn to your classroom teaching or professional practice?
How might your conference experience contribute to a proposal for the 2028 Central States Conference?
A letter of recommendation from an administrator, department chair, colleague, or other stakeholder in support of your application and your attendance at the conference.
