Description: With over one-third of Chicago's Chinese population living in the area, Chinatown is a historic and vibrant community. While many Chinatowns across the United States have grown smaller due to gentrification and shifting demographics, Chicago’s Chinatown maintains a healthy growth rate. With this walking tour exploring the area and its landmarks, stores, and restaurants, you will have the opportunity to experience a bit of China in Chicago. Participants will travel via public transportation (CTA) to the site and walk in the neighborhood. This program is in English.

W-06 • Polish Cultural Workshop: Discover Polish Culture in Chicago ($80)

Description: Chicago has one of the largest speaking Polish communities outside of Poland with 6.7% of its population being Polish-American. While spread throughout the city and suburbs, Chicago houses the fascinating Polish Museum of America. Experience the vibrancy of the Polish community through lunch at a local Polish restaurant and a visit to the Polish Museum of America. Participants will travel via public transportation (CTA) to the site and walk extensively in the neighborhood. This program is in English.
