2023 CSCTFL Travel/Study Scholarships

Many thanks to the generous professional partners who offer travel-study scholarships for teachers in the CSCTFL region each year. Due to COVID-19, some of our partners' programs are not currently available. Information on each of our 2023 Scholarships will be available this summer and posted below. Please revisit this page to when additional scholarship offerings have become available.

Eligibility and Criteria for ALL CSCTFL Travel/Study Scholarships

Scholarship applicants must:

  • Teach in the CSCTFL region.

  • Be a practicing teacher with a teaching load of at least 50% in the foreign language department.

  • Attend the 2023 CSCTFL Conference, March 9-11, 2023 and accept the scholarship at the Awards Ceremony.

  • Present a 60-minute session highlighting the scholarship experience (sharing information and materials) at the 2024 Central States Conference OR create an online presentation or video about the experience to post on the CSCTFL website.

Other selection criteria include:

  • Professional commitment and significant involvement in the teaching of a foreign language (conference/workshop participation, curriculum development) listed in a current professional resume or curriculum vitae (Note: participation in the Central States organization and/or attendance at past conferences will be advantageous and should be noted).

  • Evidence of how the experience will enhance his/her teaching is explained in a written statement of not more than 200 words.

  • Evidence of institutional support in the form of a letter of endorsement from an administrator or department chairperson.
